Vegan bolognese rolls

Enrich your meal with these soft, beautiful and insanely delicious rolls with vegan bolognese sauce.

Everyone loved these rolls so they ran out in an instant. Rolls are made of soft yeast dough, juicy filling with red pepper and soy mince and topped with delicious white sauce, which gives the rolls the finishing touch. We really love to prepare dishes from yeast dough, because the dough is extremely easy to prepare, and it is perfect for both savory and sweet dishes. If you love it too, or if you are looking for ideas on what else to make with it, we have a lot of yeast dough recipes for you on our blog.

The rolls are excellent both hot and cold and are very convenient for traveling and to take them to school or work. The preparation is also very easy, although the long list of ingredients may seem otherwise. However, there are many spices among the ingredients that give the dishes a rich and wonderful taste. The preparation of the sauce and the dough itself is very fast, it only takes a little more time to wait for the dough to rise and rolls to bake.

 Ingredients and instructions

Dough

  • flour,
  • dry yeast,
  • salt and
  • water.

Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl, mix, add water and knead into a dough. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.

Filling

  • onions
  • red pepper
  • garlic
  • soy mince
  • spices (dried basil and oregano, salt, pepper, sweet paprika powder)
  • tomato concentrate and
  • tomato puree.

First, prepare the soy mince: boil water and pour it over the mince and let it stand for 5 minutes so that it is well soaked. Chop the onion and garlic into small pieces, and cut the red pepper into cubes and put them in a pan with water and bring to a boil. Cook for a few minutes, then add the soaked soy mince, spices and finally the tomato concentrate and pulp and mix everything well. Cook everything together for another 10 minutes. When the dough has risen, roll it into a rectangle and cover it with the filling. Roll it into a roll and cut it into about 16 rolls (easiest with sewing thread or lacquer, but you can also use a knife). Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 °C.

Dressing

  • vegan soy cream,
  • nutritional yeast,
  • garlic powder,
  • onion powder and
  • salt.

Then pour dressing (for which you just mix all of the ingredients together) over rolls and bake for another 10 minutes.
