You would never guess what the main ingredient is, if you tried it – its chickpeas! They are combined with peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract and salt to create a perfect creamy cookie dough. And of course there is some dark chocolate added to make this meal even more amazing. The jar is full of protein, as chickpeas and peanut butter are high in protein, so it can also be a great post workout snack.
If you are allergic to peanuts or just don’t like the taste, you can use almond or hazelnut butter instead. This cookiedough is also gluten-free.

Ingredients and procedure
The jar is prepared very quickly and contains only 7 healthy ingredients:
- peanut butter – you can replace it with almond or hazelnut butter,
- maple syrup – can also use agave syrup, coconut syrup, date syrup…,
- vanilla extract,
- chocolate drops and
- dark chocolate.
Preparation is very simple, put all of the ingredients (except chocolate and chocolate drops) in a blender and blend until you get a smooth cream, mix the chocolate drops with a fork and divide into two jars. Then melt dark chocolate and pour it over the cream, decorate with peanut butter if you want and place in the fridge to allow the chocolate to harden. It is best to make a jar the night before and have a delicious and healthy breakfast ready in the morning.
Healthy vegan cookie dough in a jar
- 250 g cooked chickpeas
- 25 g peanut butter or almond butter
- 40 g maple syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 30 g chocolate drops
- 40 g dark chocolate
- Put chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup, salt and vanilla extract in a blender and blend into a smooth mixture.
- Add chocolate drops and mix them into the mixture with a fork.
- Divide the mixture into two jars.
- Melt the chocolate and pour over the contents of the jars, decorate with peanut butter if desired.
- Let it harden.
