Healthy chickpea chocolate balls with tahini

If you love healthy snacks, you have to try these delicious chocolate balls with tahini! They are rich in protein and fiber and do not contain any oil, gluten or flour.

We love to have snacks in between meals, so we always have some healthy bars or bliss balls on hand. We prefer to make them ourselves, as we can experiment with ingredients and flavours and prepare a snack exactly to our taste. Homemade snacks are also way cheaper than store bought and do not contain any artificial additives. We like to use nut butter, cocoa, dates, chickpeas, nuts and seeds in our snacks. With just a few healthy and simple ingredients, you can make an extremely tasty snack!

We really love tahini, so we made chocolate and tahini balls this time. They are extremely delicious and healthy, made with only 7 ingredients and do not contain any oil, flour or gluten. The main ingredients are chickpeas and tahini, both of which are very rich in protein, and tahini is also a great source of healthy fats, so it is good to include it in a diet. Chickpeas give the balls a great texture and a slightly nutty flavor that goes wonderfully with tahini and chocolate. All these healthy ingredients make these balls rich in protein, vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients and instructions

These balls are really easy to make and  you only need 7  ingredients :

  • chickpeas,
  • maple syrup,
  • cocoa powder,
  • tahini,
  • salt,
  • dark chocolate and
  • sessame seeds.

These bliss balls are great if you want a healthy snack, that is tasty at the same time and doesn’t take much time to prepare. All you have to do is blend the chickpeas, maple syrup, cocoa, tahini and salt into a smooth mixture, pour into a baking dish, bake for 20 minutes, then crumble into a bowl, add melted chocolate, mix and form around 10 balls. Finally, roll them in sesame seeds and you have a tasty and healthy snack ready to enjoy!

Healthy chickpea chocolate balls with tahini

A healthy and tasty snack full of protein.
Servings 10 balls

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g cooked chickpeas
  • 50 g maple syrup
  • 10 g cacao powder
  • 40 g tahini
  • pinch of salt
  • 40 g dark chocolate
  • sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Put the chickpeas, maple syrup, cocoa, tahini and salt in a blender and mix into a smooth mixture.
  • Pour into a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C.
  • Allow to cool then crumble with your hands into a bowl, pour over melted chocolate and mix well.
  • Form about 10 balls and roll them in sesame seeds.
