Chilli sin carne

Divine chili sauce known as chilli sin carne will impress you with it’s rich taste and extremely simple preparation.

You can also prepare a larger amount of sauce, because it lasts a couple of days in a closed container in the fridge, and develops even more intense taste, which makes it perfect for a meal prep. Alternatively, you can freeze it and simply reheat it whenever you want.

Ingredients

Sauce contains only healthy ingredients – lots of vegetables and no oil at all. It is also gluten-free, so it’s suitable for those who avoid gluten. This dish will satiate you well, because it contains a huge amount of beans and soya mince, which are a great source of protein. You will also need corn, carrots, garlic, onions, tomatoes, bean water and a lot of spices. The spices are what gives this sauce an exceptional taste and makes it truly divine. The main spice after which the dish is also named is chilli, we used homemade dried chilli powder, but you can also add fresh chilli if you like. Other spices in the sauce are:

  • salt,
  • black pepper,
  • onion powder,
  • garlic powder,
  • dried parsley,
  • paprika powder
  • nutmeg,
  • cumin,
  • oregano,
  • cayenne pepper and
  • turmeric.

Delicious and slightly hot sauce with chilli and beans.
Servings 4 people

Ingredients
  

  • 50 g soya mince
  • 120 ml boiling water
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 200 ml water
  • 130 g bean water can also be replaced with plain water
  • 680 g diced tomatoes in natural juice
  • 280 g brown beans canned
  • 140 g sweet corn canned
  • 2 carrots

Spices

  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • a pinc of nutmeg
  • a pinch of cumin
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • a pinch of chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoons turmeric

Instructions
 

  • Pour 120 ml boiling water over soya mince and leave it for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Peel and chop onions and garlic and put them in a pan along with 200 ml water and bring to a boil.
  • Cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Then add all the spices and mix.
  • Add presoaked soya mince, mix , cover the pan with a lid and cook on medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Then add diced tomatoes, bean water (or plain water), sliced ​​carrots, corn and beans and cook for 20 to 30 minutes.
