Homemade granola with peanuts and pistachio

Crunchy homemade granola with peanuts and pistachios for a perfect breakfast!

Making your own granola is incredibly simple and quick! You can make it in less than 30 minutes. Once you try to make your own, there is no going back to store bought. Homemade granola is way healthier and cheaper, and you can completely customize it to your own taste. And an extra benefit is a nice smell that will fill your home, when it’s baking.


We need to have some granola at home, because we really love it! This is why we are baking it all the time. And the most amazing thing is, that there are so many different kinds that you can make, so you can never get bored. This time we went for a salty peanuts and pistachios flavour and it came out amazing! It might be the best one we’ve ever made.

We also love fruty tastes, so we also made strawberry granola with goji berries.

We often add some dried or freeze dried fruits, chocolate drops, cinnamon, cacao… There are infinite combinations to make granola.


To make granola, yo will need some dry and some wet ingredients. For dry ingredients you can choose oats, nuts, seeds or puffed grains. And for wet ingredients you can add any kind of syrup, nut butters or juices.

This time we went for pistachio and peanut granola, so we used pistachio, peanuts, oats, a mixture of puffed grains and a little bit of salt for dry ingredients and almond butter, date syrup and agave nectar for wet ingredients.

When you have chosen all of the ingredients you want to use, it is very simple to make granola. First you have to mix al of the dry ingredients and then add all the wet ingredients. Then you combine everything together until you get a nice mixture. You put this mixture on a big pan and bake for around 8 minutes (and mix from time to time, so it doesn’t burn).

If you like bigger granola chunks, just bake it in a smaller pan, so it all sticks together, and then crumble into smaller pieces when it’s baked.


Homemade granola



  • 150 g oats
  • 22 g puffed grains
  • 25 g pistachio
  • 40 g peanuts
  • 70 g almond butter
  • 20 g agave nectar
  • 15 g date syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • Mix all of the dry ingredients together (oats, puffed grains, pistachio, peanuts and salt).
  • Add a mixture of wet ingredients (almond butter, agave and date nectar).
  • Mix all of the ingredients well together.
  • Put mixture on a pan an bake on 180°C for around 8 minutes.
