Spiral cookies

Mesmerizing spiral cookies for a delicious snack.

Chocolate and vanilla are the most classic dessert flavours and they are both really delicious. It’s always so hard to choose only one, but with these cookies you don’t have to choose, because they are a perfect combination of both flavours, so it is a win win situation!

Originally we wanted to make something else, but we accidentally ended up with these pretty cookies and we are not mad about it. These cookies are really easy to make and the taste is amazing, so chocolaty with a nice touch of vanilla. They have a nice buttery texture, so they just melt in your mouth.

They are pretty big, so they make a perfect snack. They are even better with a cup of hot beverage, like hot cocoa or some tea. Chocolate vanilla spiral make them so magical, so they are perfect as a Christmas present because they are so pretty. We’re sure that everyone will love them.

Spiral cookies

Easy vegan cookies with chocolate and vanilla flavour.

Ingredients
  

Vanilla dough

  • 130 g flour
  • 40 g coconut sugar
  • 40 g margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 40 ml cold water

Chocolate dough

  • 130 g flour
  • 40 g coconut sugar
  • 40 g margarine
  • 15 g cacao powder
  • 40 ml cold water

Instructions
 

Vanilla dough

  • Mix all dry ingredients together.
  • Add other ingredients.
  • Mix it well together until it forms a dough.
  • Cover and put in fridge for at least 1 hour.

Chocolate dough

  • Same procedure as vanilla dough.

Cookies

  • Roll out vanilla dough and shape it into a rectangle.
  • Put rolled out chocolate dough on one half.
  • Cover with vanilla dough.
  • Cut away the excessive edges.
  • Cut into 1cm thick strips.
  • Each strip turn around so you have 3 layers facing up and press it down a bit.
  • Roll stripes into spirale and put on pan
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes on 180C.
