Vegan arroz chaufa

Peruvian style fried rice.
Servings 3 portions

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g rice
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200 g vegan "meat" chicken stripes
  • 2 vegan hot dogs
  • 30 ml soy sauce (2tbsp)
  • 1 red pepper

Instructions
 

  • Put a teaspoon of oil in a pot, heat it up, add a teaspoon of garlic powder and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add water, salt and rice and cook according to the instructions for cooking rice.
  • While the rice is cooking, heat the oil in a pan and fry the vegan meat and the sliced hot dog in the oil. Then add chopped bell pepper and fry for a few minutes.
  • When the rice is cooked, let it rest for a bit for it to dry and the excess water to evaporate and then add it to the pan with the other ingredients.
  • Add the soy sauce, mix well and fry for a few more minutes until it's nicely fried.
