Vegan bread dumplings



  • 240 g old bread
  • 250 ml rice milk
  • 10 g ground flax seeds mixed with 35ml water
  • salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vegeta
  • 1/4 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 70 g buckwheat flour


  • Cut bread in cubes and add in a bowl. It's best if you cut it a day before, so that it becomes a little more dry.
  • Pour milk over pieces of bread and mix well together. Set aside for an hour, so that bread can soak up the milk.
  • Mix ground flax seeds with water and set aside for about 15 minutes.
  • Mix soaked bread, flax seeds, vegeta, salt, chopped onion and garlic.
  • Add buckwheat flour and mix well together.
  • Form into 6 balls and press them well together so they won't fall apart.
  • Put them in the fridge for about 1 hour.
  • Boil some water and add dumplings into boiling water. Cook them for about 15 minutes.
